The optometrists at East Quay Medical Centre believe in providing the best level of care and attention, individually tailored to their patients and so, from September 2009 Mr Jonathan Rossiter will be offering private appointments at East Quay Vision Ltd. Mr Rossiter is head of the Glaucoma service and also runs NHS clinics in general ophthalmology in Taunton and Bridgwater.
Mr Rossiter completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Southampton, graduating in 1995. His general ophthalmology training took place in Taunton, the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre and the Southampton Eye Unit before he completed a clinical fellowship in glaucoma and cataract surgery at the internationally renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Following this he undertook a 6 month fellowship in uveitis at Moorfields prior to taking up his consultant post in Musgrove Park Hospital in 2006.
In his new role at East Quay Vision Mr Rossiter will see adult patients with general ophthalmology problems. At these private appointments patients can expect a comprehensive eye inspection. After this comprehensive assessment Mr Rossiter will give you a detailed explanation of your eye condition and will explain all possible treatment plans so that together you can make a decision on the way forward.
